PURPOSE:To prevent the leak of more than unnecessary amounts of ink flowing along a wire by a method in which the wire whose tip portion is provided with a staged portion is encased in a housing and an ink-impregnated material is directed from an ink-housed portion provided inside the housing to each wire. CONSTITUTION:A housing 2 is provided in the front of a wire impact type printing head 1, a tip guide 3 with a hole 6 to keep the tips of each wire slidable is provided at the tip of the housing 2, and an ink-impregnated material 5 is provided inside the tip guide 3 to supply ink to the tip of the wire 8. In such a printing head, a tiered portion is provided to the printing wire 8 inside the housing 2, an ink-housing portion 15 is provided in the inside lower part of the housing 2, and the lower end of the ink-impregnated material 5 is inserted into the ink-housing portion 15. The ink-housing portion 15 is covered with a shield plate 14 at its upside and its tip portion is shaped into a form inclined downwards toward the ink-impregnated material 5. |
