PURPOSE:To enable attainment of a desired result of cooking accurately, by setting up cooking time by obtaining a logarithm corresponding to a ratio of a resistance value of a detecting element which is depending on a cooking state to the resistance value at a commencement of the cooking. CONSTITUTION:A heating device 5 is controlled by setting up cooking time so that a desired result of cooking can be attained by detecting a resistance value of a detecting element 6 depending on a cooking state of a material to be cooked which is cooked by the heating device, such as a magnetron. The cooking by heating is kept on until a logarithm log R corresponding to the resistance value R of the detecting element 6 reaches to a logarithm log B.RO (B is a predetermined constant corresponding to the material to be cooked) of a value having a predetermined ratio to a resistatance value RO at a commencement of the cooking, in that cooking method. A cooking time error, therefore, resulting from dispersion of the resistance values depending on surroundings of the detecting element at the commencement of the cooking is eliminated and the desired result of the cooking cab be attained accurately. |
