PURPOSE:To facilitate inspection, maintenance and replacement of electrodes, by constituting the above-titled apparatus in a concentrical, double-tubular structure closed at its opposite ends, with an inner tube serving as a cathode and an outer tube as an anode, and designing the apparatus such that either of the inner tube or the outer tube is detachable from either of the opposite closed ends of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A conductor 51 connected to the cathode of a DC power source is buried in a power source section 5 which closes one end of an electric scale removing apparatus constituted in the form of a concentrical, double-tubular structure, and a conductor supporting bolt 21 fixed at one end of an inner tube (cathode) 2 is connected electrically to the conductor 51. Further, the power source section 5 is fixed to a flange 11 formed at one end of an outer tube (anode) 1 by means of bolts 52 and nuts 53. On the other hand, a retaining cap 7 closing the other end of the apparatus holds the inner tube 2 securely in place by the aid of an inner tube packing 71, an insulating holder 72 for supporting the inner tube 2 and a packing 73, and the cap 7 is fixed to the outer tube 1 by means of a fastening band 74. |
