<p>The invention is directed to the preparation of a supported chromium-oxide-type catalyst by applying to an inert inorganic support a complex of a chromium compound and an organometallic compound of a metal of Group II or III of the Periodic Table and its use in polymerizing 1-alkenes containing 2-8 carbon atoms, optionally admixed with at most 15 mol.-% of at least one other 1-alkene containing 3-15 carbon atoms.</p> |
