Method for separating individual and/or several components from gas mixtures uses a pressure vessel subdivided into chambers and contng. hollow polymer filaments. The gas mixt. is introduced under press. into the hollow voids of the filament and the components which are to be separated permeate outwards from the void to the external surface. Prefd. appts. consists of a vessel similar in layout to a tube heat exchanger, the hollow filaments corresp. to the tubes and being fitted to end plates which can be removed with the filaments assembled in bundles.
