The self-supporting water-ski incorporates a one-piece inflatable float generating the upward pressure. A foot instep portion is built in and so joined to the float that loads are evenly distributed. This can be detachable, being merely held in place by the pressure exerted on its sides, or alternatively it can be welded or glued to the float or integral with it.
