PURPOSE:To enable to freely set a detecting range for dew condensation corresponding to an object which is to be prevented from dew condensation, by a method wherein a Peltier element, whose cooling temperature is adjustable to an energizing amount, is used as a dew condensation dummy. CONSTITUTION:A dew condensation detector consists of a Peltier element 10, used as a dew condensation dummy, and a dew condensation sensor 20. The Peltier element 10 is constituted such that a thermal conductive ceramic layer 12 and a conductive layer 13 are formed in order on one surface of a thermal conductivity material 11 serving as a radiating surface, meanwhile, a thermal conductive ceramic layer 15 is formed on one surface of a thermal conductive material 14, serving as an endothermic surface, two electrodes 16 and 17 are formed in parallel thereon, a P type semiconductor 18 is located between the one electrode 16 and the conductive layer 13, and a N type semiconductor 19 between the other electrode 17 and the conductive layer 13. A detection of dew condensation takes place through cooling of the endothermic surface 14 of the Peltier element 10 so that a given temperature difference between the surface 14 and an atmosphere around an object which is to be prevented from dew condensation is caused. |
