<p>The equipment shuts off a pipe under pressure using an inflatable sealing plug. The latter (16) is cylindrical when inflated, having a radial supply pipe in the middle, through which compressed gas is delivered into it. A length of pipe can be fixed to that to be shut off, extending in the radial direction and containing a guard tube inside which the plug is contained, protecting it from contact with the edges of the hole drilled in the pipe on insertion.</p> |
