PURPOSE:To enable even a non-square detector to reliably detect a sum total of a plane pressure, by a method wherein 4 specified points, corresponding to vertexes of a square, are found, and electrode plates are mounted to a detector on a basis of the 4 points. CONSTITUTION:A surface pressure detector 1 is provided with a pressure-sensitive plate 2 whose electric resistance changes through the action of a pressure, the both surfaces thereof are nipped by conductive plates 3 and 4, and the plane thereof is formed in an arbitrary shape. Upper and lower conductive plates 3 and 4 in said surface pressure detector are provided with electrodes S1, S3 and S2, S4 which are positioned facing and opposite to each other in an x-direction and a y-direction, respectively. Based on 4 points A'-D' found on the detector 1 by a given method, the upper conductive plate 3 is provided with the electrodes S1 located between A' and B' and the electrode S3 between C' and D', and the lower conductive plate 4 equipped with the electrode S2 between B' and C' and the electrodes S4 between the D' and A'. |
