The invention relates to a device for a loom 1, which is preferably of the collapsible type. It comprises a frame 2 for supporting the parts of the loom 1. At the end of the frame 2 that does not have any supporting part 18, at least one fixing device 24 is mounted at a certain height, which device cooperates with a stationary organ 28 and is provided to ensure that the loom 1 can stand as a self-supporting unit. The stationary organ 28 is supported by the upper part of a post 26, whose lower part can be connectably fixed by a locking device 49 to components that are loosely placed on the floor parallel to one another along the longitudinal axis of the loom 1.
