<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of heat recovery by spraying the water used as shower water for a painting booth onto the heat transfer surface of a heat exchanger provided in an exhaust gas duct of the painting booth and recovering the heat retained in the water used as the shower water and exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The water 16 used as the shower water of the painting booth 3 is sprayed onto the heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger 15 provided in the exhaust gas duct 14 of the painting booth 3 to accelerate the condensation of the moisture in the exhaust gas. The paint mists contained in the exhaust gas are captured by the condensation and the heat retained in the exhaust gas as well as the heat retained in the water 16 used as the shower water are recovered by the heat medium flowing in the heat exchanger 15. As a result, the efficiency of the heat recovery is remarkably improved. The heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger is maintained in always the clean state by the water ejected from injection nozzles 18, 19, by which the high heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger is maintained; therefore, the heat recovery is improved and the clogging of the heat exchanger by the paint mists is obviated.</p> |
