PURPOSE:To detect the intake airflow over the range from a low flow rate region to a high flow rate region in the intake airflow, by providing an intake airflow controlling device in the vicinity of the upstream of a measuring plate. CONSTITUTION:The intake airflow which is taken into an engine 8 is detected by the rotary displacement of a measuring plate 4 of the airflow meter A. The detected signal is outputted from a potentiometer 7. The amount of the fuel injection from a fuel injection valve 12 is controlled by a control device 13 based on said detected signal. The airflow control device 14, which concentrates the intake airflow at the side of a free rotating end 4b of the measuring plate 4 when the intake airflow is relatively small, is provided in the vicinity of the upstream of the measuring plate 4 in the airflow meter A. Thus the moment acting on the measuring plate 4 is increased in the low flow rate region in the intake airflow. |
