PURPOSE:To prevent the air oxidation of a color developing soln. contg. a p- phenylendediamine deriv. as an essential color developing agent and to obtain a composition of the color developing soln. with little change in the characteristics of a developed photograph due to again. CONSTITUTION:This purpose is attained by using an alkaline processing soln. contg. aromatic primary amine as an essential color developing agent, hudroxylamine, aldehyde-hydrogensulfite adduct, and diethanolamine. The aldehyde-hydrogensulfite adduct causes no color development fog and exerts no influence on photographic characteristics even when added in large quantities. The formaldehyde or acetoaldehyde-hydrogensulfite adducts and diethanolamine are added to a color developing soln. to prepare a developing soln. In an aging test of the developing soln., reduced color development fog, little change in sensitivity and other photographic characteristics, and remarkably small deterioration have been shown. |
