<p>A fixing assembly for fastening an article (5) to masonry comprises an element (1) having an elongate body provided with an anchoring portion (8) for insertion through a hole (13) in the masonry and a sleeve portion (6) for projecting from the hole, the anchoring portion having a longitudinal bore (18) for receiving a fastening screw or bolt (20). The element is secured by cement material injected from device (16) through an opening (27) into the space surrounding portion 8. To prevent the material entering the bore (18) its end is closed by a seal 19. The assembly further comprises a sleeve for receiving the screw or bolt and which is insertable through a hole (12) in the article to be fastened into engagement with the sleeve portion (6) and which has a projection for engaging the article. <IMAGE></p> |
