PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a main magnetic pole disk for vertical magnetization recording by forming a thin film of mild magnetic metal at a prescribed position of a disk, sticking and bending a protective film at right angles, and forming a nonmagnetic material layer over the entire surface. CONSTITUTION:A thin film of soft magnetic metal having a necessary thickness is stuck by vapor deposition of ion plating over the entire surface of a disk 40 made of aluminum, etc., and is made into thin-film patterns 41 and 41 in prescribed shapes by photoetching. After protective films 45 and 45 of nonmagnetic materials having excellent malleability are formed on said thin-film patterns 41 and 41, channel-shaped through holes 42 and 42 surrounding three sides of the patterns 41 and 41 are made and the patterns 41 and 41 are bent at right angles to the surface of the disk 40. Then, the disk 40 is placed in metallic molds 46 and 47 and plastics is injected for molding, and grinding work is carried out until the bent end part of the disk 40 is exposed, thus completing the manufacture of the main magnetic pole disk. |
