<p>The anti-vibration mounting consists of two layers of resilient material (2,3) mounted one above the other to absorb the vertical component of the machine vibrations. The two layers of material are separated by a layer of ball bearings (13). The ball bearings run between an upper and lower track (12,11) respectively. The two resilient components are able to move horizontally in relation to each other. The whole assembly is clamped together in an outer casing (4,5) which imparts a degree of pre-loading.</p> |
