<p>PURPOSE:To move a rolling roll to a prescribed position in a short time, and to exactly stop it in said position, by moving the rolling roll in the cirection crossing a carrying line, when making a barlike rolling material pass through plural passes between rolling rolls by a reciprocating carrying motion. CONSTITUTION:A rolling material is fed along a carrying line L in the direction A from a furnace by the first carrying device 12a, is rolled by the first pass of a pair of rolling rolls 19 which are controlled and moved in the upper and lower directions in the figure, and is fed out to the second carrying device 12b. When completion of rolling is detected by devices 46, 47, the second pass set by the order setting part for positioning plural passes in a line L is selected by the selecting part, and an output difference of a position detecting device of a truck 16, and the selecting part is operated b an operating part. The operating part discriminates the magnitude of an output signal, outputs high and low speed moving signals of a frame 18 when said signal is larger than the first boundary value, and when it is smaller than said value and larger than the second boundary value, respectively, and outputs a stop signal when it is smaller than the second boundary value, and controls a moving device.</p> |
