1386355 Phenoxymethyl-imidazolines including salts with steroids SYNTHELABO 14 July 1972 [15 July 1971] 33135/72 Headings C2C and C2U [Also in Division A5] Novel therapeutic compound (I) (including organic and inorganic salts thereof) is made (a) by reacting ethylenediamine with a compound (II), or salt thereof (A signifies alkoxy or amino), itself obtained from compound (III) or (b) by reacting an ester of 2-hydroxymethylimidazoline with a metal o-cyclopropylphenolate. Particular salts described are those of (I) with prednisolone 21-m-sulphobenzoate, 9α- fluoro - 16# - methyl - 11#,17α,21 - trihydroxypregna - 1,4 - diene - 3,20 - dione 21 - dihydrogen phosphate, 11#,17α,21-trihydroxy-pregna- 1,4 - diene - 3,20 - dione 21 - dihydrogen phosphate, 11#,12α,21 trihydroxy - pregn - 4 - ene - 3,20-dione 21-dihydrogen phosphate and 11#, 17α,21-trihydroxy - pregn - 4 - ene - 3,20 - dione 21 - hemisuccinate and those with HCl, H 2 SO 4 ,HNO 3 and acetic, tartaric and citric acids.
