The invention relates to a "solar collector" of high efficiency, low weight and low cost. The collector uses an absorber panel which has an active surface formed by a thin heat-conducting plate (2) which is deeply undulated with undulations of trapezoidal cross-section, the cavity between one undulation and another having the same trapezoidal cross-section, but inverted, as the undulation. The distance between each undulation crest is then almost equal to the height of the undulation itself. A preferably plane sheet (3) is welded to the plate and forms channels (8), in which the heat-transfer fluid flows vertically, collecting in end channels obtained by turning over the plate (2) and the sheet (3) at their two opposite ends. The losses as a result of reirradiation (arrows 11 and 12) are thus reduced and other losses as a result of reirradiation are avoided by virtue of the non-existence of points of the panel at a higher temperature than that of the heat-transfer fluid. The absorber panel is inserted in a block of rigid insulating foam (5) and is protected on the front by a thin and lightweight transparent plate. <IMAGE>
