PURPOSE:To form said wall covering material of a clear pattern edge and a distinct unevenness, by applying the second layer of a high temperature foamable resin compound superficially smoothly on the substrate on which the first layer of a foamable resin compound is printed like a desired uneven pattern, then expanding these layers by heating. CONSTITUTION:The first layer of foamable resin compound (a vinylchloride paste resin is preferable as a base resin,) 2 containing a low temperature foaming agent[(e.g. p,p'-oxybisazobenzene sulfonylhydrazide (decomposition temperature ca. 150-160 deg.C)]is printed on a substrate 1 like the convex pattern to be shaped, then the second layer of foamable resin compound 3 containing a high temperature foaming agent[e.g. azodicarboxylic amide (decomposition temperature ca. 200 deg.C)]is applied so as a surface becomes flat (mark 4 is gravure printing provided on it). Then, it is heated at a temperature higher than the foaming temperature of the second layer foamable resin compound 3 and the wall covering material composed of the foamed resin layers 5 and 7 and having an uneven pattern on its surface is formed. |
