PURPOSE:To prevent a permanent deformation from occurring in the positional relationship of a support body structure during a thermal treatment process by jointing in lamination a central elastic metal piece with almost the same coefficient of thermal expansion as that of a mask frame, a metal piece with a high coefficient of thermal expansion on one side of the lengthwise direction, and a metal piece with a low coefficient of thermal expansion on the other side to form the mask support body structure. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask support body 30 is composed of a fine stripe- shaped central elastic metal piece 31 with almost the same coefficient of thermal expansion as that of a mask frame 17, a fine stripe-shaped metal piece 32 with a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than that of the central metal piece 31, and a fine stripe-shaped metal piece 33 with a lower coefficient of thermal expansion, both jointed in lamination along one edge portion of the lengthwise direction of the central piece, and individual metal pieces 31-33 are partially welded so as to form a convex cross section and to function as an elastic body. One end of this support body structure 30 is fixed to the mask frame 17, and the other end is coupled with a panel pin 20 planted on a panel inner wall. |
