摘要 PURPOSE:To control reactive electric power without producing voltage fluctuation to a bus, by gradually increasing or decreasing the capacitance to be connected to the bus by a static variable capacitance phase controller. CONSTITUTION:An AC-DC converter 3 is connected to an AC system 1, and a static capacitance phase controller 12 consisting of a variable reactor 10 and a variable capacitor 11 is connected to a bus 5. A switch 6 is applied at the time t1 to control reactive electric power, and the capacitance of the capacitor 11 is gradually increased at and after the time t1-T when a capacitor 8 is connected to the bus 5. The capacitance of the capacitor 11 is set temporarily at zero at the time t1 when it is equal to the capacitance of the capacitor 8. Then the capacitor 8 is connected. The capacitor 9 is connected in the same way. The procedure is reversed when the switches 6 and 7 are opened. In such a way, the reactive electric power can be controlled without producing voltage fluctuation to the bus 5.
