PURPOSE:To produce steel sheet piles economically by simplified molding methods by rolling a blank material to a linear shape of a prescribed thickness, forming the claw of a joint part then bending the material to a prescribed shape. CONSTITUTION:After a blank material is heated from a charging floor by a heating furnace, it is fed to rolling stages (b)-(h), where it is rolled to a prescribed thickness with upper, lower rolls A, B, and a claw 10 of a joint part is formed with calibers. The flat plate formed with the claw 10 by rolling is fed to bending stages (i)-(m), where the plate is formed with a flange 11 and a web 12 by universal mills (i)-(j) and right and left vertical rolls C are used to reduce the entire width of the plate. The flange 1 is further bent by calibers with intermediate mills (k)-(l) and at the same time the claw 10 is bent. Finally, the claw 10 is bent with finishing mills (m), whereby the final product is manufactured. The sizes in the respective parts of the product are stabilized and the variance thereof is reduced. |
