PURPOSE:To realize an abundant expression of characters, by delivering the character and background patterns with synchronization secured between them and at the same time delivering both patterns overlapping to each other. CONSTITUTION:A CPU1 delivers a control signal BC to validate an AND gate G5 and feeds a character code to a character pattern generator 2. The generator 2 feeds a pattern signal to an OR gate G1 synchronously with a clock signal CL supplied from a dot printer 3. While a dot counter of the 4- and 6-notation counters 4 and 5, a row counter of the 6- and 4-notation counters 5 and 6 plus the decoders 7 and 8 work respectively and synchronously with the signal CL. Then the pattern signal corresponding to the dot printing position of the 0th row is delivered from an AND gate G2, and the pattern signal corresponding to the 2nd row is delivered from an AND gate G3. These pattern signals are led to the gate G1 via an OR gate G4 and an AND gate G5 and superposed on the character pattern signal to be fed to the printer 3. |
