PURPOSE:To transform effectively the rotating energy in the wake into the propulsive energy by installing a required number of horizontal auxiliary rudder plates in the direction intersecting to an erect, main rudder plate. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal auxiliary plate 7 intersects to an erect, main plate 6 to constitute a rudder 5. Diagonal flow induced by rotational components, b and f, flows into the horizontal auxiliary plate 7, generating a lift. The resultant force consisting of axial components of this lift becomes new propulsive force, which is added to the propulsive force created by the main plate 6. It improves energy recovery by the rudder 5 in the wake. |
