<p>The roofing tile in heat-absorbing material such as baked clay or concrete is provided with at least one duct (2,3) for circulation of a heat transfer medium. This duct may be at least partly contained within the thickness of the tile. Near the upper edge (5) of the tile, the duct may have a portion (6) which extends above its upper surface (7) whilst, at the lower edge (8) of the tile the duct can connect (at 9) with the upper end (6) of a corresponding duct in the adjoining tile below it.
