PURPOSE:To clean the surface of a sheet member excellently, by providing a cleaning member which abuts on the surface of a sheet member to be cleaned by crossing a moving direction, and a supporting member for the sheet member at the back surface position of the sheet member in opposition to it. CONSTITUTION:A transfer drum 33 is cleaned by a couple of cleaners 34 and 35 after transfer. In an opening 332 provided to the supporting body 331 of the transfer drum 33, a screen member 333 forming a surface of curvature similar to that of the cylinder is held. The internal cleaner 34 is fixed to a frame 341 and then energized by a spring 345 in such a direction that the cleaner 34 comes into contact with the inside of a transfer supporting member 333. The external cleaner 35, on the other hand, rotates counterclockwise when coming into contact with the spporting member 333 and supporting body 331 during cleaning, performing excellent cleaning. |
