PURPOSE:To make it possible to effectively prevent invasion of dust by feeding high pressure air from the exit of a labyrinth seal inside the labyrinth to permit the air to inject through the labyrinth. CONSTITUTION:Dust including air is sent, and one part of the dust tries to enter an accomodating chamber 11 through a gap between a hub 6 and a bonnet 9 and another one part of it stays on seal plates 14, 15, 16, etc. Then the exit side of a labyrinth seal 12 is located in front of a blade 5 and the pressure drops to a negative level there, while the inside of the labyrinth seal 12 is opened to the atmosphere, so that internal air is outwardly carried away through the labyrinth seal 12 forming a jet due to existent pressure difference, and blows off dust, thus realizing resistance against invasion of dust. |
