PURPOSE:To secure the safety of an operator by providing a driving source provided to the main frame of an image forming device and the transmission part of a driving force which transmits the driving force from said driving source, and covering gears with a shutter when an automatic original feeder is powered down. CONSTITUTION:The automatic original conveying part of a copying machine has a motor 28 as a driving source. The driving force generated by the motor 28 is transmitted through a belt 29a, gears 29b and 29c, a clutch 29d, etc., to rotate a driving roller 13. In this constitution, when a mode switch is turned off, a plunger 34 provided to the main frame side C is turned on by coupling the mode switch to move as shown by an arrow D, and a shutter 35 fitted to the plunger 34 through a link 41 moves as shown by an arrow E to prevent a gear 30 from being exposed to the outside. Thus, the safty of an operator is secured. |
