PURPOSE:To obtain a piston excellent in heat resistance, by combining a metallic piston main body with a ceramic top part placed appearing to a combustion chamber, through a porous combination material. CONSTITUTION:A combination structure 1, constituted by a sintered metal fiber aggregate of nickel radical alloy, cobalt radical alloy, copper alloy, etc., is filled with wax 2 to its half height by the loas-wax process or the like, and then slurry state ceramics are supplied and filled to a hole about the rested half part of the combination structure 1. This structure is guided to a heating oven, and being heated, a ceramic layer 3, the top part of a piston appearing to a combustion chamber, is formed, while the wax 2 is burnt down. The structure is inserted into a metal mold 6 closed the bottom part by a lower mold 5, by locating the ceramic layer 3 lower, and if molten metal is poured, the molten metal is filled in the hole of a lost-wax metal fiber layer, and a ceramic top part can be firmly combined with a metallic piston main body. |
