PURPOSE:To permit the abrasive rinsing work and the protective film coating operation after the end of grinding process to be automatically performed in a single operation by cleaning the lens after abrasion by means of oil and using the same oil in common as lens storing and covering material. CONSTITUTION:After a lens 2 is ground, a cleaning pan 1 is installed onto a head 10 in substitute for an abrasive pan, or the cleaning head equipped with the cleaning pan separately prepared from the head 10 for abrasive pan is shifted to just under the lens 2, which is cleaned by revolving the head 10 at a low speed. The cleaning pan 1 is prepared by applying the sheet having a superior elasticity e.g., flet etc. onto a cast pan, and the oil 12 which is insoluble and has a high flashing point and high viscosity is used. After the completion of cleaning, a pivot 4 is raised, and the lens 2 is loaded for discharge onto a guide plate 16. Lenses 2 are arranged in succession and stored on the net 17 spread obliquely in an oil, tank 13 from above the guide plate 16. |
