Casing for TV tube - comprises front band surrounding screen and two half shells held together by cooperating tabs and forming rear cover

The casing for a TV tube e.g. for a VDU, includes a band surrounding the front edges of the screen. This has tabs, with holes in receiving clips at each corner of the screen rectangle. Each clip is attached to a spring band extending around the outside of the tube, behind the screen, with a spring maintaining this band under tension. Upper and lower shells are shaped to enclose the rear part of the tv tube. These two shells fit around the outside of the band which fits against the front of the screen. Inwardly projecting tabs on these shells engage corresponding holes in the back of the band. Further clips hold the upper and lower shells together at the back of the casng.
