<p>The adaptor is for fitting a Diesel engine into a petrol engined four-wheel drive vehicle, for fitting a 'Peugeot' (RTM) Diesel engine into a 'Land-Rover' (RTM) or 'Range-Rover' (RTM). It comprises a bell-housing (10), the front part (2b) of which contains the necessary bolt holes (4) for attachment to the engine and the rear part (1) of which bolts to the gear-box. The front part (2b) of the bell-housing is made independently from the rear part and incorporates a recess (18) for the nose of the starter motor. The rear part (1) of the bell-housing is the existing component and the front part (2b) is an adaptor plate.</p> |
