<p>The coupling comprises a connector block with an axial reception bore with two sections of different dia. each end of the smaller dia. section receiving a complementary connector pin at the end of a respective optical fibre. The larger dia. section contains a cuff fitting around the outside of one of the connector pins, with a resilient coupling element between the latter and the cuff. Pref. a second cuff is positioned around the second connector pin with a similar resilient coupling element between them. The connector block may have a number of similar pairs for connecting several optical fibre pairs.</p> |
