<p>The discharge outlet is for vessels containing products not suitable for pumping, particularly animal manure. The contents are lifted above the vessel edge by a disc in the bottom, the protruding portion being scraped off. The disc can be immersed in liquid at the vessel bottom, and lifted by air injected to turn it into a float. This movement can also be aided by liquid injected at the bottom. This avoids the risk of damage by an excavator bucket to the vessel walls, which can be of plastics if desired.</p> |
