<p>The ship is for light loads, and has two longitudinal side bulkheads, which are partly or wholly waterproof. The two bulkheads (1) are at a maximum distance of 3/5 of the ship's width, and with the hull bottom (2), form a cargo hold area (3), which acts as a main longitudinal bracing, and is stiffened by waterproof and non-waterproof bulk heads. The hold area projects by more than 4.5m over the side decks (12), which have no hatches, and form the upper limit of the side holds. The free sides (18) of the hold area are fitted for the side support of containers (16), stowed on the side decks. The longitudinal bulkheads have platforms (20) above the side decks, to give access to the containers.</p> |
