<p>The stand for the pot-plant has an outer wall (1) and an inner wall (2). The top end of the inner wall (2) ends in a flange (7) extending over the outer wall (1) to which it is firmly fixed. A hole (3) in the base of the inner wall (2) conducts water into the inner compartment holding the pot. A hole in the flange (7) is sealed by a plug (5) through which a pipe (4) is inserted, open at both ends. The bottom of this pipe (4) extends up to a certain height above the level of the base of the inner wall (2). Alternatively the annular area at the tops of the walls can be removably sealed to allow topping up with water.</p> |
