The invention relates to an insulator for an overhead line. An additional track is formed out on the root part of the insulator. The line wire is laid in this track of the insulator for as long as the line wire is being pulled. The insulator can be permanently mounted on the insulator holder, the line wire sliding in the track, or the insulator can alternatively be mounted on the insulator holder such that it can rotate. |
