The connector (1) contains two half-shells (11,12) designed to be tightened around a contact zone on the cable's conductor. The half-shells (11,12) are oined by associating projecting components (111,112,121,122) with recesses having a complementary shape. Each recess applies to the corresponding projecting component a crimping deformation when the two half-shells (11,12) are brought together. The locking and insertion of the electrical outlet zone of the shells are performed simultaneously on the two half-shells, using a simple tool and a reduced force. The half-shells can be fitted with a cutting zone ntended to cut the cable's insulating material. The half-shells can also be pre-nsulated.
