The slit of the soldering tag is provided in the free end region, and is intended for holding one or several insulated circuit wires which are subsequently stripped at the contacting section and connected. The open end of the connecting slit (3) has a restriction (5) whose inside width is greater than the diameter of the metal wire core, but smaller than the diameter of the insulated wire (4). From the restriction the slit preferably widens outwards and/or inwards. The widening may be laid out in steps and may be greater than the insulated wire diameter. The slit may be restricted by material deformation and the soldering tag may be pinched at the restriction. The side shanks may be bent in the direction of the slit centre.
