A constructed comminution - rotary drum - stabiliser system is designed such that communication of materials takes place in the rotary drum by means of applied forces such as are produced by the use of grinding or milling balls and/or rollers. This method of comminution is practised so that biological stabilisation can commence even during the comminution processes. One or more comminution chambers are constructed within the rotary drum to allow unhindered progress of air for aerobic stabilisation through sieves or holed plates.
