In order to arrange pieces of dough individually emerging successively from an apparatus, for example a portioning apparatus or moulding apparatus or the like, into individual rows with any desired predeterminable lateral intervals and with any desired predeterminable longitudinal intervals of the rows from one another, the invention provides for a collecting draw-off belt or collecting turning belt, which can be driven at various speeds, to be arranged underneath the outlet opening of the apparatus and for there to be provided under the said belt a transport apparatus for the pieces of dough which is arranged transversely to the said belt and, if appropriate, bears baking trays, proofing containers or the like. By changing the running speed of the collecting belt on the one hand and of the transport apparatus, running transversely thereto, on the other hand any desired distribution of the pieces of dough can be produced on the transport apparatus. <IMAGE>
