The invention relates to a device for detecting and evaluating the faulty feed of printing carriers in printing, folding and cutting machinery. The aim of the invention consists in reducing the stoppages of the processing machinery and in reducing waste. The technical object consists in being able to record and evaluate quantitative deviations of the edges of the printing carrier relative to the sheet stop, as well as the position of the printing carriers, lying one above the other, relative to one another. The object is achieved in that rows of sensors are arranged upstream and downstream of one sensor of a pair of sensors arranged with the spacing of the intended length of the printing carrier, and an evaluation device, serving for evaluating the deviations of the lateral position and of the length according to size and direction and/or for evaluation on double sheets, is arranged downstream of the sensor arrangement. By means of the device, tendencies towards positional changes can be detected and conclusions drawn on their technical causes. Elimination of the causes is thus possible while the machine is running. <IMAGE> |
