Treatment of wounds and blisters caused by a viral attack of herpes zoster, herpes simplex 1 or 2, on the skin of a mammal is described. A therapeutically effective quantity of a metal-contg. medicine is used electrophoretically in the region of the wound or blister. - The bandate comprises a substrate 15 x 5 cm. with middle part and end parts. A film of e.g. aluminium is fixed to the middle part. The central part of the electrode has a coating of silver contg. medicine.
