发明名称 ORTHOGONAL PHASE MODULATING CIRCUIT
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a phase modulated wave having a desired locus on a complex plane, by using the same signals with a simple polarity for the base band signals for both axes I and Q and at the same time adding a carrier wave having a specific phase and amplitude to the obtained modulated wave. CONSTITUTION:A base band signal generating circuit 21 produces the base band signals I'phi(t) and Q'phi(t) for both axes I and Q which are equal to each other with a simple polarity. These base band signals are fed to the 1st and 2nd mixers 24 and 25 to give the modulation of amplitude to the 1st and 2nd carrier waves which are generated from a carrier wave source 22 and a 90 deg. phase shifter 23 and have an orthogonal phase relation with each other. The outputs of the mixers 24 and 26 are added to each other by an adder 26 and then added and synthesized with the 3rd carrier wave which is produced from a phase amplitude modulator 27 through the 2nd adder 28 to be extracted at an output terminal 29 in the form of a phase modulated wave output.
