PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound giving a high polymer having superior heat resistance and flame retardancy, by reacting a phosphonitrile chloride oligomer with N-(hydroxyphenyl)maleimides and a hydroxy compound. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1mol phosphonitrile chloride oligomer expressed by formula I (n>=3) is reacted with (B) >=1mol N-(hydroxyphenyl)maleimides expressed by formula II (R represents halogen atom, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkoxy-lower alkyl) and (C) >=0mol hydroxy compound expressed by the formula HO-Y (Y represents aryl, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl) to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula III (X represents halogen atom; p is 1-2n; q is 0-2n-1; p+q=2n). |
