PURPOSE:To allow a called subscriber to foreknow the calling subscriber information before answering, by provding a display at a subscriber terminal to display the subscriber information like a number of calling subscriber, etc. when the call is connected. CONSTITUTION:A display showing the calling subscriber information is provided to the subscriber terminals 1 and 10 respectively which are stored in an exchange station within an automatic telephone exchange network. When the calling subscriber 1 dials the called subscriber number and then the call type number, a switchboard 2 of the transmitter side transfers the called subscriber number, the calling subscriber number and the call type number to a switchboard 7 and a controller 8 of the receiver side via an outgoing trunk 4, a trunk line 5 and an incoming trunk 6 and under the control of a controller 3. The controller 8 transfers these received numbers to an interpretation center 9 and connects the trunk 6 to the called subscriber 10. At the same time, the controller 8 displays both the name of the calling subscriber and the call type number sent back from the center 9 on the display. |
