PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of the quality of printing by flying magnetic ink when voltage through a recording signal applying means is applied to a predetermined recording electrode and the recording signal voltage is not applied to a corresponding control electrode. CONSTITUTION:The nose of a projection 13 is sucked to the recording paper 16 side by Coulomb force when the bias voltage VB is applied, and the nose of the projection 13 is flown toward the opposite electrode 15 when pulse signals VS are applied to a stylus 9 from a signal power supply 18 at that time. When pulse signals VG are applied by means of a signal power supply 19 under a condition that only the voltage VB is applied, the nose of the projection 13 is pulled to the control electrode 14 side and brought to a condition that it is difficult to fly, and does not fly when the pulse signals VS are applied at that time. Accordingly, the noses corresponding to only styluses, to which the VG is not applied, among styluses belonging to the signal power supply such as 181 fly, and predetermined printing is conducted. Since the VG is not applied when ink flies, the adhering ink of the control electrode 14 has no effect on fly, and printing having high quality is conducted. |
