Universal-joint suspensions for a lifting cylinder for actuating implements provided on construction machines, with a fork in which the lifting cylinder is suspended in a pendulous fashion and which is rotatably mounted with its shank in a mounting bearing provided in the machine, are to be simple in construction and are to be easy to fit and dismantle in the event of any repairs being necessary. This is achieved in that the mounting bearing (6) for the fork shank (5) has at least two bearing shells (9, 10) which lie one behind the other in the shank axis and between which a recess (13) extending around the shank (5) and accessible from outside is provided, and that the fork shank (5), at the level of this recess (13), has an encircling groove (15) into which fitting pieces (18) are pushed through an opening (14) provided in the bearing housing (6). The fitting pieces (18) extend right into the bearing recess (13) to secure the fork (2, 5) against axial displacement. <IMAGE>
