The invention relates to a spring terminal (1) for the connection of an insulated electrical conductor (2) to a stationary connecting element (3), for example a terminal strip. The achievement of the object essentially comprises the construction of in each case one stationary limb (4) and one limb (6) which can move in a resilient manner of a clamping device (1) having insulation-piercing terminal edges (7 and 8 respectively) whose cross-section is wedge-shaped and which are notched in centrally, the end sections (9 and 10 respectively) of the limbs (4 and 6 respectively) being arranged such that they cross one another at an acute angle.
